Perfect floor for every room

Installing floors is not as easy as we think. First of all we have to choose the type of the floor. The most obvious choice for a bathroom is tile. Other rooms need more consideration.

Bedrooms end up with carpet floors most of the time. It is a good choice when you prefer warmer floors. Unfortunately, carpet takes more cleaning time (it collects dust), especially if you have pets. Maybe you’ll need a good vacuum cleaner to keep the floor in a good looking condition. Hard floor (hardwood or laminate) is much easier to clean but the floor will be cooler and a little uncomfortable at night. You could fix it by setting up a warming floor system.

Kitchens you could finish with tiles or any hard floor types. If you cook a lot, tile is your better option since it’s more durable and could survive any accidents such as spilled liquid. If your kitchen is a part of the living area consider a tile to separate it from the rest of the room.

Dining room is a formal space and hardwood floor (or a good quality laminate one) is a common material for it. Carpet isn’t an option since accidents such as dropped food will destroy the covering very soon. You could choose any floor for the living room. Most of the time hardwood floors are more common since it’s more durable and that rooms have more traffic than other rooms in a house.

Basements usually are cooler than ground or second floors. However carpet is not the better choice since humidity level is usually higher in basements and carpet could accumulate an extra moisture. Heating system with a hardwood or laminate floor could help with a room temperature and a humidity level.

Today you could find a nice quality laminate flooring that is cheaper than hardwood one but still gives you durability and many colors options that will fit your room’s design.
